NCAA Basketball: Predicting the 2007 Men's Final Four

The NCAA tournament is a month-long basketball tournament with enough twists and turns to fill an entire year. The winner of this tournament deserves every bit of prestige and honor that the winner receives. This is the most grueling tournament that basketball has to offer. Here are the teams that will meet in the Final Four this year.

Florida - No one should be surprised that the defending champions make it back to the Final Four. Experience means a lot in any post-season event. Joakim Noah and Al Horford should clean up the boards and dominate in their region. The good teams in their region do not have any big men. The region is loaded with good perimeter teams, but Brewer and Humphrey should contain the opposing team's open looks. Florida should roll through to the Final Four.

Kansas - Brandon Rush and the rest of the young Jayhawks may have the easiest route to the Final Four. The teams in their bracket all did pretty poorly in their conference tournaments, except Gonzaga and VCU. The Jayhawks' Julian Wright will have a big tournament. Pittsburgh could be threatening if Aaron Gray can pull himself together and play better.

Georgetown - The Hoyas have played well since the beginning of 2007. Roy Hibbert and Jeff Green has been an unstoppable duo. Hibbert's low-post presence and defensive skills are a nice compliment to Green's offensive wizardry. Georgetown will have a hard time, but they match-up well against North Carolina. The Tar Heels' big men can't match the physicality of Hibbert.

Ohio State - Ohio State will need to ride on Greg Oden's shoulders. Oden has been playing really well. He had 19 rebounds in a game during a Big Ten tournament game, a new record. Mike Conley Jr. and Lewis, the Buckeyes' backcourt, are going to have good tournaments. Conley is smart and doesn't make bad decisions with the ball. Historically, guard-play has won this tournament. I think the Buckeyes backcourt will hold up. Ohio State may have trouble with Tennessee's Chris Lofton. He is automatic from behind the arc, but their perimeter defense should limit his looks.
