It’s wintertime, the weather is cold and uninviting, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to put your romantic life on the back burner. Embrace the brisk winter air and treat your date to a romantic, winter themed outing. Pull on a warm coat and a wool hat and enjoy the most magical season of the year.
If it snows where you live during the winter months, take advantage of it and enthrall your partner with one of the many snow sports available. With skiing, ice-skating or even snowboarding to choose from, this date will be far from boring. Many towns also have indoor facilities for you to try, which can be great if snow hasn’t fallen in your area. A particularly fun activity is indoor skiing or snowboarding where you can have all of the fun of the outdoors, minus the freezing temperatures.
If winter sports seem a bit too extreme for your tastes, you could always choose a less taxing but certainly still exhilarating activity, like sledding. Sledding can be great fun, so wrap up warm and head to the snow covered hilltops. Sledging will whisk you, and your date right back to your childhood and all the fun and laughter of playing in the snow. The best thing about sledding is that it’s inexpensive and is sure to put a smile on both your faces.
If the thought of being outside in the freezing winter air doesn't sound too appealing, then opt for quiet night in at home. Sit in the warm, wrapped in thick blankets and illuminated by candlelight, cook a hearty warm meal and maybe even roast some chestnuts if you have an open fire. If cooking isn't your forte, then booking a table at a local restaurant can be equally as romantic. Rustic style restaurants with freshly cooked meals are the best option.
A great place to visit on a date is a museum or art gallery. For any budding history buff or an art lover, this can be a great way to showcase your knowledge by guiding your date around intriguing exhibitions. These dates are sure to make conversation flow, as interesting objects and beautiful artifacts will surround you both.
Visiting the theatre to see a play or take in a concert can make a fantastic evening out. Immerse yourself in culture and entertainment and you’re sure to have a date to remember. Going to watch a play can be a great day out, even in the height of summer, so don't let the cold weather ruin your plans.
