John 8:28-29 "So Jesus said, 'When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know who I am and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.'"
One of the many claims Jesus made was that He lived a sinless life and He challenged those who were quick to place judgment. He also claimed to be The Son of God and Man as He moved to teach the hopeless, the lost, the sinners and the non-believers the truth about the Kingdom of God. John 8:46-47 "Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
Jesus claimed to be One with God; The Savior of all mankind if they chose to believe in Him. He was many times met with skepticism and anger about His claims of being the Christ, but He never wavered in His faith or His teaching of God’s love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, power and eternal life through Him for those who believe.
Another claim of Jesus was that He had the authority to forgive all sins. This angered the Jewish leaders because their understanding was that since sins were rebellion against God Himself, only God could forgive sins. Luke 5:20-21 "When Jesus saw their faith, he said, 'Friend, your sins are forgiven.' The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, 'Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?'"
In John 10:14 When the Jewish leaders asked Jesus directly; “How long will you keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly”; Jesus responded in John 10:25-30, clearly declaring; “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
Jesus made many claims about Himself and His power and authority over man. Several examples are; He claimed to be a Heavenly King seated at the right hand of God; the One True Vine, The Son of God,
