For writers who submit work to online writing sites, one of the methods of earning money is through page view revenue. This means that writers must learn how to generate page views on online writing sites.  High quality, well written work and proper SEO (search engine optimization) will all contribute to page views, but often, writers must depend on promotion of work to generate readers.  Here are some ways to get more readers to articles written for online writing sites.

Join appropriate forums

Social networking is above all else "social" so it is important to work on gaining high quality followers.

There are several bookmarking sites that can help attract new readers. These range from the popular Reddit to the lesser known RedGage and Xomba.  These sites can help a writer increase their networking potential and gain new readers for their work.  Each site has different methods of promotion and again, all terms of service should be read and adhered to.

Online writing sites provide writers with the ability to earn money from page views. Without readers, the page view income is largely dependent on search engines. While search engines will likely result in traffic generation for well written, SEO enhanced articles, writers should not depend on them entirely.  Learning how to generate page views on online writing sites can help increase a writer's popularity and income.
