It is curious to note that humans have progressed from the sparsely populated natives who depended on the sun for their God and their other endeavors to the current homo sapiens, who after accomplishing so much during our history, are wanting to return to the most pressing needs of daily life. Getting a good sun tan is high on the list and other endeavors dwindle in importance along with transportation and food requirements. Thus, we have come full circle from the early malcontents of sacrificial acts to make sure Mother Nature’s sun is happy to do all the work, to those throughout history that had to be content with during their spurts of self-reliance, and now back to a world of listless malcontents who just want the sun to do the heavy lifting.

Because oil is sought by hard working rough necks and has to be refined for fuel, plastics and pharmaceuticals, among many other entities, let’s just catch a few rays and let the sun take care of the rest. Like the early Mayans, who also depended on the sun too much, this puts modern man on a path to joining Houdini’s show with its disappearing act. Turns out the omnipotent creator, no- not Obama, whispered a few required passwords into Mother Nature’s ear and we find that each link to usage of the sun is taken by leaping from Rubik cube to Rubik cube linkage at which point you get what the grand design intended. You do not get a Cadillac Escalade, not even an Air force One or Two, but a contrivance requiring amplification, attention affixation to the desired control and a bevy of other needs. You may say we find that man cannot sail, nip and dip unless he attends the ship and our modern grunts are too apathetic for that endeavor. We may also regress to some earlier point in time when someone screwed with the proper settings of the Rubik Cubes and we now have not a drip to drop.

Considering the extreme example, let’s run every transportation vehicle on the Sun’s energy. Are we going to consider heating our water for household requirements and drinking water and let them have assigned solar panels. I’ll bet we can hook any energy dependent device to the Rubik Cube-like solar panels and make them functional. The sun, after all supplies a constant stream of energy rays. But wait; are we missing something here as that word constantly bothers me a bit? Thinking further, aren’t we creating Global Warming? When we have raised the temperature of a large enough area of the near surface of the earth, won’t the summation of all these heat increases cause Global Warming and steal away the heat of the temperature rise for photosynthesis of our vegetation? Because matter cannot be created nor destroyed by ordinary means, it may only disrupt the vegetation at odd locations. We may be able to accommodate this as solar panels have high occupancy in two dimensions, preferably at 90 degrees to the incoming sun’s rays. Ugh Oh, but the earth is orbiting - I think someone has put one too many Rubik Cubes into the Grand Design. I have noticed that we are working harder than if we just drove our automobiles and flew our aircraft in the first place.

Hey Gladys, throw another shrimp on the Barbie, jump in the SUV and go pick us up some more Buds. What? What the Hell do you mean you did not get it gassed up?
