Just when I think the
candle's burned out,
the wick
grows a flame.
Just when I think the
hand won't reach out,
I see two in front of me
with someone calling my name.
Just when I think
that nobody hears,
I get a reply
and my eyes fill with tears.
Just when I think
I've lost you forever,
our friendship rekindles
and we say friendships forever.

Suddenly, this feeling was taken away
like a flame doused, on a blustery day
Scorched wood and paper, sat in our grate
awaiting
How Do You Rekindle An Old Flame?
How do you rekindle an old flame that once burned bright?
Which has since dwindled
Burning
From the inside out.
Wildly alive with desire for what I already have.
What I already get to have again and again,
My soul is dark; the last tear has been cried.
So much hurt over time, the well has been dried.
