Snow days are a lot of fun for teens. Most teens love the fact that they get a day off of school to just have fun. Baking, building a model car and playing in the snow are among some fun activities for teens to do on a snow day.

For teenage girls, baking on a snow day is a great way to relax and have fun. Most of the time kids are too busy with school work and activities to take the time to bake. Cookies are fairly simple to make. It is great to bake cookies together as a family too. A kid of any age loves to eat the cookies hot from the oven. Baking a cake is a fun activity too. Once the cake is cooled, girls have a good time decorating it too. This can take up a great portion of the day. Once the cake is done it can be desert for the whole family with the dinner meal.

For boys, building model cars is a good activity on a snow day. Have model car kits around the house just in case there is a snow day. On the snow day pull out the kits and let the boys build away. They can watch TV, play games or eat the cookies that the girls bake while the glue dries.

It is fun for kids of any age to play in the snow. Teens can even have a blast building a snowman. Adults can go out and enjoy this activity with them. A hat for his head, some raisins for eyes and a carrot are a fun compliment to the snowman.  Sledding is another fun activity for snow day. Find a safe hill, get some sleds or tubes and have fun.

Teenagers love to play board games. Clue, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, and other games of that nature are fun to pull out on a snow day. Card games are fun to play too, teens can play games like Canasta, Hearts and even strike up a game of poker using toothpicks for the money. Another great activity for teens if there are several of them is to play the game Twister. It will provide many hours of fun.

Charades is a fun activity on a snow day too. Of course this will only work if there are more than three kids so that the kids can divide into teams. If there are enough kids, have an adult put several ideas in a hat. Divide the kids into teams and then have them play the game.  This game will result in a lot of laughs.

There are a lot of things to do on a snow day. It just takes some imagination to make the day fun.
