The band strikes up
The whole place comes alive
Waltz to tango
Bunny hop to jive
She dances wildly and carefree
Legs that go on for miles
She smiles, I am dazzled
Eye fixed on each other
The shining timber floor now our cloud
We forget we are in a crowd
I shimmy, she wriggles
Love that lilt when she giggles
Loving her moves
Watching her curves
Hypnotised and attracted
Not another thing can distract
From our dancing prancing pact

Poetry: Dancing
Dance
It was only a seaside cafe,
My soul a tendril reaching out
Eagerly cleaving to the silhouette,
Standing on a table near
A Balinese Dancer
Exotic and alluring,
Each movement casts its spell,
Evoking myths and legends,
Such dramas she can tell.
Swaying
DOES HE LIKE TO DANCE
Quiet moments are elusive
Fear born of loneliness is obtrusive
In our fast paced world
by Scott Scherr
Pirouette on Carousel
I penetrate the mist; what's there?
A heart with dreams immune to cares.
Behold such grace of life
On high tip toes
She stretches her leg in the air
The audience is silent
As they mesmerizingly stare
With a twist of the wrist
