Poetry: Take the time to . . .

by Carol Natoli

“Take Time to…”

Take time to smell the roses
build a sand castle,
and have a moment’s peace.

Take time to breathe a little,
build a snowman,
run through the grass
with shoeless feet.

Don’t let your time
Slip away or be wasted
For yet another day..
the clock goes only in
one direction….
The seconds don’t skip a beat!

Take time to
waste less energy arguing
or fretting over trivial things.

For in the end…
does it really matter
if ..
she sat in the wrong seat…
or if
the milked spilled..
or….?
