Title: Dad, your eye’s tell a story

I never thought I’d have to say goodbye
I never knew the pain I’d feel
Looking back now it all seems surreal
But when I think about the years we had
The mentor I was blessed to have
The memories that are locked in my soul

Dad, Your eyes tell a story
I can read it in mine
I see you in my mirror
Something so beautiful left behind

Still there are things that haunt me
Like when you took your last breathe
And where we laid you to rest
And the pain that won’t pass

Dad, Your eyes told a story
And I can read it in mine
I can see you in my mirror
I know something was left behind

I walk with you through my memories
And I talk with you in my dreams
When I see my childrens faces
Your story succeeds

Because your eyes tell a story
That was passed down to me
One day we’ll be together
My daddy and me

Dad, your eyes told a story
That passed through the genes
My children will read it too
When time stops here for me

A story for eternity your legacy will never complete
The story we pass down until the earth is complete
