None of us will ever wholly agree on money. Some people hate debt, others believe that it is a much needed financial tool. Some abscond whole-life insurance, others swear by it. Some argue gold is a solid investment, others promote by mutual funds. In order to define your own viewpoint on money, you really have to absorb and filter. You should not just listen to one person's advice about money, rather you should listen to several and make your own decisions based on what you learn. For this to happen, we need good sources of financial information. Here are four great personal finance blogs that you need to read.

The Simple Dollar The author of this blog really knows his stuff, and has a lot of time to put into his blog. It's very common to see four or five articles a day from him, and his advice is always logical and well researched. He offers unique insights on ways to save money, recently he wrote an article about how one could live on $10 a month for food, and it became so popular that the traffic brought his websites to its knees. The Simple Dollar is backup and in action, and Trent is giving his well-researched tips and tricks on becoming financially independent once again.

Stop Buying Crap The person who writes this blog only goes by the name of "Cap", short for "Captain Crunch." The focus of this blog is to get readers to stop spending so much on things which do not make us happy or are just outright waste. Cap's humorous writing style and great Photoshop abilities make for very enjoyable and educational reading.

Crazy Money This blogger doesn't post too often, but when he does, it's usually good stuff. The author, Matt, focuses on some of the more technical aspects of finance. He often shows spreadsheets that he uses in his own financial life that most of us would be very wise to make use of. It might not always be the most exciting information, but it's definitely worth reading.

No Credit Needed America has a culture of borrowing money for seemingly everything. No Credit Needed offers a unique and contrarian viewpoint when it comes to borrowing money. Some personal finance are bragging about the money they make from credit card arbitrage, but No Credit Needed stays miles away from that game. If you want to borrow money, that's fine and dandy, but it's still nice to hear someone with a differing view point every now and then.

These are four very good websites which all offer their own unique paradigms on money. Each of which will offer you the very best they have to offer. Of course you should not limit your reading to just a few web logs, but rather be read as a part of a larger amount of financial literature that you take in. Even if you do not enjoy reading, or reading about money, you still need to do it. It might not be fun, but it's you're money, and you don't want to mess it up.
