Haypi Kingdom: City wall strategies

In the popular iPhone game, Haypi Kingdom, having a strong city wall is very important. If you have a well-built city wall, then you will be more likely to win battles against attackers and you will be able to protect your valuable resources from being raided. Also, if you win a battle when somebody attacks your city, then you will get prestige points from the soldiers that they lose to your wall.

Before moving on, here are some of the basic facts about traps, turrets, and the city wall in Haypi Kingdom:

-There are 15 slots in the city wall, where you can choose to build a turret or a trap.

-To increase the highest possible upgradeable level of your traps and turrets, you must go to the “Tech Center” and increase this by using Haypi money.

-Level 10 is the highest level that traps and turrets can be upgraded to.

-A level 10 turret can kill 255 infantry, 76 cavalry, 306 archers, and 85 catapults per round.

-A level 10 trap can kill 120 infantry, 36 cavalry, 144 archers, and 40 catapults per round.

First, before you build your wall, take into account how traps and turrets work. These two defense devices both work differently, meaning they both have their own strengths.

It is good to have enough turrets, so that they can quickly take out enemies from a distance; however, if they are not a high enough level, then they are susceptible to be quickly destroyed by archers and catapults. With those turrets gone, holes are left in your city wall, making it easier for attackers to get through. A level 5 turret seems to do a decent job of defending, but a level 10 turret is top notch, which can kill many soldiers at once.

However, if you cannot afford the resources to upgrade turrets (turrets can be more expensive to upgrade than traps), then you may be better off building traps. Traps, unlike turrets, cannot be destroyed from a distance. They can only be destroyed when a number of enemy soldiers run into them (usually destroying a good amount of soldiers).

So, now with all of this information about traps and turrets in mind, it’s time to think about the actual construction of your wall. Considering placement, it’s good having some high level turrets towards the front of your wall will help to stop enemies before they get too close. Putting some traps behind the turrets can serve as a “Plan B” if the turrets become destroyed. It’s good to have a mixture of traps and turrets, but make sure that your placement is appropriate for the level that they have been upgraded to. For example, it would be better for you to fill your wall with level 6 traps than it would be for you to fill it with level 1 turrets.

When building your wall, take into account your resource production. Make sure that you have enough resources to build your city wall properly. As said before, higher level turrets tend to require more resources to build, so if you have a little amount of resources, you may be better off sticking to building traps. Plan well, and you’ll be able to build a strong wall.
