Poetry: Hating you

by Tiriahna

Created on: January 21, 2011

She told me
I sometimes like to make you cry.
I like to see how long it takes,
I like watching you break.

How about I break you?
You stupid bitch.
And you expect me to care?
You expect me to set aside my life
To please only you.

How dare I learn what a spine is for.
How dare I find my place in the world.
How dare I build a life.
How dare I learn not to cry.

You've controlled me for far too long.
I hate you and your mood swings.
I hate your "some of it's her, but mostly it's you."
I hate you both.

Leave me alone.
I don't care if I never see you again.
You can stay where you are,
There's no need for you to visit.
Guess what you've lost.

You'll never know you grandchildren.
You'll never see them laugh and smile.
They'll never know your name.
They'll think you're dead.

You'll never know how far I've come.
You'll never see my progress.
You'll never know when I win or lose.
You will never know me.

I hope your happy where you are.
I hope you enjoy your little world of loneliness.
I hope you never get a chance to ruin another child's life.

Lady,
You will never again see me cry.
