I definitely place more trust in God than in People. Trust that is put in people can sometimes be a mistaken trust and your faith in them can be broken.  Trust in God is never a mistake and I will list a few reasons in the next few paragraphs.

I place more trust in God because God is perfect.  God never makes a mistake or does something wrong.  God never does something out of spite and never does anything with the intent of hurting us.  I know that I can take God at His word and not be disappointed, because He will never break His word to us. 

No matter how great a person is, they will make mistakes and do things that are wrong because they are not perfect.  People will sometimes do things out of spite even if they love us deeply.  Even the ones we love the most will occasionally do something with the intent of hurting us.  We can take people at their word most of the time, but even the best people will have times when their word is not good.  People are not perfect, and they will fail us, but God never fails.

I place more trust in God because God knows exactly what I need and when I need it.  God has promised that He will never let something come into our lives that we cannot handle.  God has told us that His grace is sufficient for all of our needs.  God knows us better than any human being could ever know us and we can trust that what He gives us and allows into our lives is what is best for us.

People who are close to us will generally have a good idea of what might be best for us, but they can never know us the way that God knows us.  Most of us have had someone who loves us try to tell us what the best course of action would be.  Sometimes they are right, but often times they are not.  No matter how well a person knows us, there will be times when they will be mistaken in what they think is best for us.

I place more trust in God because God never fails.  No matter how good people are or how much they love you, they will fail you at some point.

Lastly, I place more Trust in God than in people because God never changes.  The Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  People will always change with time.  God will always be the same.  God will always treat sin the same.  God will always love the sinner in spite of his sin.  God will always judge those who choose to ignore Him and fail to repent.  God will always forgive someone who is willing to repent, no matter how many times they have done the same thing.

People will always change with time.  The way people feel about you today and the way they treat you today, may be different from the way they will respond to you in the future.  Even the best people will be reluctant to forgive a person who keeps doing the same thing over and over again.  People will not always judge you the same each time.  People will not always love you no matter what.

As a Christian I have learned to take God at His word and know that he cares for me.  There is no question in my mind that I should trust God more than I could ever trust another human being.
