Nowadays, coffee and computers just seem to go together.  Add to that free Wi-Fi access, tasty sandwiches or yummy pastries and you have the right combination for a perfect coffee shop.  Here are some top coffee shops in New York with Wi-Fi access.

Think Coffee

The Think Coffee shop on 248 Mercer Street between 3rd and 4th Streets is one of these perfect combination coffee shops.  During the week they are open from 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m.  Saturdays and Sundays they open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 11:30 p.m.

The atmosphere here is tops, and there is always a place to sit.  The prices are a little on the high end of the scale, but the free Wi-Fi more than makes up for it.  According to http://thinkcoffeenyc.com/, all of their "house blends of espresso and brewed coffee are organic and shade grown."

Grounded Organic Coffee and Tea House

Located at 28 Jane St. in West Village, NY, Grounded is one of those great coffee shops where you can go and work with your laptop.  They are open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.    Their prices are reasonable.  Their menu at http://www.basictea.com/groundedcoffee/menu.html lists a double espresso for just $2.50.

Aroma Espresso Bar

Aroma Espresso Bar at 145 Greene St. in New York, New York, is a place where people who are looking for a good cup of Italian coffee or a rich cup of hot chocolate love to go.  The majority of the reviews consider the coffee, hot chocolate and sandwiches at the Aroma Espresso Bar the very best.  Free Wi-Fi is the icing on the cake when you need to work while you are there.  According to one raving review at http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/aroma-espresso- bar/, their "coffee drinks are much better (and cheaper) than Starbucks."

Housing Works

Housing Works is a bookstore café in New York, New York, located at 126 Crosby St. in SoHo. Http://www.shophousingworks.com/ describes the uniqueness of this bookstore café.  The large majority of their staff is all volunteers.  It's a great place to meet your friends, and you can call ahead and reserve a table for your party.  You can use the free Wi-Fi and shop for music, movies and books while you are there.  All of the things sold at the bookstore cafe are donated, and all of the proceeds go to Housing Works, an organization that works toward meeting the special needs of HIV infected people.
