Fun places to go in San Jose, CA

The idea of having fun in San Jose is based on the age of an individual. For those 21 and over, it's an easy choice of going to your favorite bar; but for those under 21 it's all about being creative and safe (safe being defined as not getting busted by the cops). In the right group, any one could have fun in San Jose.

For groups of friends who have individuals who can’t venture into bars, Campbell Cigar’s is an ideal place to hang out. Pick out a cigar then just sit back and smoke it while watching either a movie or a sports game. The staff is very friendly that views their customers not as customers but as friends.

But if this group of minors rather be out drinking then its best to stay home with a “cool parent” or find a secret spot. San Jose has an abundance of hidden locations were groups of friends can hangout without worrying about getting caught. Just make sure its secluded in an area with little to no police activity but with an easy escape route. Just make sure some one acts as a designated driver.

However, for those who want to respect the law go out to Cupertino Square and enjoy some bowling or hit up the theater.

For the adults it’s all about the bars. If its about the ideal guys night out then the Britannia Arms (located on 5027 Almaden Expressway, San Jose, CA) is the place to be. One of the best British Pubs in the area, it’s the ideal place to be on the weekends when you're with a few good friends or celebrate that one guy's 21st birthday with some Fish and Chips with a side of Guinness.

If the plan is to include more then just drinking then the Prunnyard is the ideal spot. Enjoy some craft beer at Rockbottom or enjoy the dive atmosphere of Boswell’s. Than after a few brews enjoy a movie at Camera 7. Then end the night with a nice cup of coffee at Coffee Society.

When you want to end your night the most ideal place to hit up is Taco Bravo. When the bars close, all the drunks wander here for the best meal one ever had when intoxicated. The staff is a diverse yet the most unusual bunch of colorful characters that will not be seen at any other eatery. For first timers, the "Super Nacho" is the most recommended meal. With a combination of good food, an outgoing staff, the ideal location, and the collection of people who stop in for a meal at 3am; it makes the perfect ending to a great night.
