The idea that you would like to adopt a dog and give him or her another chance at finding a loving, happy and permanent home is quite commendable since there are so many needing quality homes.
Every breed has its own unique behavior and personality traits as well as health conditions they are prone to. When deciding on the kind of breed you would like to have these are things you should consider. Some breeds do better being a part of a quieter family and a household that does not have young children. Other breeds are just the opposite and prefer to be in busy household with children.
It is important to do your homework and research on the personality traits and health issues for the breeds you have an interest in.
