Poetry: The days have passed

by Daniel Belcher

Created on: January 18, 2011

He stares

at his old watches

But, they could not

give him time back.

The time

of missed opportunities,

missed appointments.

The love of his life

a lost and now a faded memory

of time itself.

The careers chances

passed by,

Never taken

for fear of failure.

The lost time

of having no faith

The lost time

of friendships never ventured

Trying to find a way

to recapture

the lost time

Its lost trails

lie buried

in the sands of time

Untraceable

Wishing for

those times again.

For a second chance

for sound advice.

But time

keeps moving and running.

Steady on course
