He's sooo cute, got 'all' the right answers, everybody loves him, he knows everyone and he's always so busy! CAREFUL ladies...I smell a player.
Now there are always exceptions to the rules but it's important to be aware of just how a player works. Essentially a smooth cheater that isn't looking for anything but a good time. He is an expert at deceptions and usually juggles at least three or four flavors at once. A talent only circus performers should brag about.
Follow these tell-tale clues and avoid getting played.
First off follow your gut! Why is it that we never seem to trust ourselves? Our intuition is normally more accurate than the logic we think we have. Our minds are to blame as we trick ourselves into believing what we want to believe, not necessarily what we know is true. It's our ego's that are always leading us into trouble. Do yourself a favor. Listen to your gut first. I promise you it will save you a lot of headaches.
Does he have lots of 'lady' friends? When you are out and about do they give you 'looks' and put their hands on him possessively? According to fellow dating coach Aaron Adamson this signal is just about to turn green. Be wary of a player.
Next up does he make a player mistake? He does this by not showing any genuine interest about the things you like and what's important to you. This guy just wants his needs satisfied and will find excuses to not return the favor.
Ever heard of the rooster call? Well it's 2 or 3 a.m. and your text chimes is in full swing. Ahhh...how sweet...he misses you and wants to come over. Don't fall for it. His plans with the other lady must have fallen through and now he's using his back-up...YOU! Sad but true and you're WAY better than that.
Does he seem to be quiet suddenly on the phone or talking very generally? If his eyes are darting around and he's excusing himself constantly to take a call, I'd be wary. Not much fun when you're with your lady and your lady calls.
Are you not feeling 'good enough' for him? If it stems from self-esteem issues it's one thing but if it's from the way he treats you it's quite another.
It may signal a player but it's definitely someone you can do without.
Is he the excuse king? If he's always breaking dates and is only available when he chooses I would keep my eye's peeled. Especially if you don't get any invites out with his friends and family.
These are just a few character traits in the life of a player. Have fun but keep your brain on. If Prince Charming starts heading North, make sure you do a 180 and get yourself warmed up sooner rather than later.
