My calendar shows that it's been a year
Something weird is going on here
The months are changing WAY too fast
Now, only two weeks, a month seems to last!
I know for sure, as a matter of fact
a year couldn’t have passed, now that I look back
since that LAST celebration of Christmas Day
it’s been about six months, wouldn’t you say?
Something odd is causing these years to fly
with the speed of light, a MONTH flashes on by
I'm sure that it's just a conspiracy
Of the Calendar Company who sold it to me.
My Birthdays are coming at such a fast pace
I feel that I'm running a marathon race!
The gifts I received on my Birthday last year
have yet to be OPENED, they're all still here!
I know it's a joke, but I don't think it's funny
As I tear off 'December', what a waste of money!
That month didn't last, my calendar's insane
Think I’d better start Christmas shopping again!
Spring rolls around with the Robin's sweet anthem
I buy beautiful flowers, but before I can plant them
there’s frost on the pumpkins, where'd summer go?
It's my mysterious calendar- THIS, I DO know!
But my calendar presents other problems, as well
affecting my body, which is now shot to hell!
As I look in the mirror, and wonder just who
Is that old lady, rudely blocking my view?
I think I'll remove that thing from my wall
since it doesn't seem to be working at all!
Seems that these days, things just don't last
and NOW my darn watch is running too fast!

Don't Grow Up So Fast
It seems like only yesterday
They laid you in my arms
And silently I made a vow

In shallow waters I skipped a stone
I looked to days ahead.
I hated facing life alone
I chose then to be wed.

Oh, the joys that we have shared;
Memories which we both held dear.
Hanging out, just being friends
Though you

They seem to dance in mid-air.
You look back and remember the days when you wished
