Silly people sleep to dream
nightmares are for the others.
The ones with they're heads facing forward
chins up, eyes fixed on the step one step
after the next.
Those people wake up sweating
searching the room, for familiarity
caught between fear..and redundance.
Breathing a sigh of relief
because they know now that it could be worse
ignoring that it could be better.
Unaware that bad dreams come from missed steps
and skipped experience.
Silly people get purple puppies and giant, friendly lady bugs.
The rest
get recognized
by the guy behind the counter of Bargain Beverage
attempting to stop the sweating.
