Is the Playstation 3 really better than the Playstation 2? This is like asking if Pizza Hut is really better than Digiorno? Of course the answer is yes! When it came down to creating the PS3 Sony really put the nail in the coffin. The most important logic to this question is the comparison of the two systems. One of the most important facts that people loved about PS2 was that users were able to watch their DVD's. PS3 comes out not only DVD compatible, but Blu Ray compatible. This alone already makes PS3 better than the PS2.

Before I go on comparing the two, I want to talk about what you don't have to deal with when it comes to using the PS3. PS2 calls for memory cards in order to save/store data. PS3 enables you to save/store your data on the system itself. This limits the purchase of buying a component for your system, so not only do you save money it limits the hassle. Another feature that the PS3 offers is the wireless SIXAXIS controller. Now you don't have to be stuck five feet within your system. This feature is great when you have a T.V. that's placed at a lengthy distance. Speaking of wireless, PS3 offers the access of wireless internet connection. This feature alone is what really sold the PS3. Even though you now the ability to access online gaming with the PS2 it requires an Ethernet Connection or some type of connection directly from your modem. With the PS3 you can not only do the same, but being that it's accessible to wireless connection you can punch in your WEP Key from your modem and be online in seconds. In some cases you can feed off of unsecured wireless connections with no modem in your home.

You think you've heard it all, well it only gets better! The PS3 really offers everything and some things are right at your fingertips. Want to avoid the drive to the video store, stream movies from Netflix right from your PS3 and if your already a Netflix customer it's no additional charge. The access to the PlayStation Store from your PS3 also comes in handy. In seconds you can access the PlayStation Store and download games, purchase products, etc. That's not all the PlayStation Network offers, it offers the biggest network you could ever imagine. Online gaming with the PS3 will blow you away. Play against your friends or face random opponents. You can voice chat and message friends. With the PlayStation eye you can even video chat with your friends. In some cases people find this as an awesome way to keep in touch with friends and even make new ones. Store/add your friends to your list and see when they are online or what games they are playing. With Facebook integration, you can add your Facebook Account and show off trophies you've earned directly on your wall.

The things you can do with a PS3 outmatch the PS2. The PS3 is your DVD player, CD player, Blu Ray player, and in some cases your computer! The PS3 is one entertainment monster. Connect usb compatible keyboards and mouses for easy chatting and easy internet browsing. Store pics and even music... Connect your iPod and blue tooth compatible components such as head sets and believe it or not, I've even learned that you can charge certain things using the wireless controller cord. The PS3 does just about everything you can think of and I often wonder if there were to be a PS4 how can they beat it. If you still don't think the PS3 is better than the PS2 you obviously haven't played it. Sometimes classic is better, but not in this case.
