Child neglect has life long effects on the health development and personality development of the neglected child. Because there are so many acts that can be named as neglect the range of the effects are endless. Food neglect can lead to delays in mental and physical development. The long term effect of food neglect can stop the child body from developing at the rate that it should. Food neglect can make an 8 year-old appear to 4, 5, or 6 years old. Food neglect can slow the body change as a child go into pre-teen and for many girl food neglect can cause a disruption or irregular flow of the menstruation cycle. For girls food neglect can determine if and how the adult woman will carry a child through child bearing years. Physical neglect has too many long term effects. Many of the problems of physical neglect will not show up until the child becomes an adult. Some physical neglect will leave the adult unable or unwilling to have children; some will develop ticks and other nervous conductions that will affect the child way of live. Mental neglect, with it many roads have proven to cause aggressive behavior in both boys and girls, but do seems to be more violent in that of male children. These mentally aggressive children grows into aggressive adults, whom will more than likely serve jail sentences most of their life’s. Mental neglect keeps many children from growing in a sociable manner. When a child does not have the sociable attitude to grow into sociable adults, this person will find it very hard to get and maintain jobs, relationships and, or the up bringing of their own children. Many neglected children will become adults that neglect their children, causing a very ugly circle of neglect through many generations. Child neglect will make for adults that will not sleep without the lights on. Some neglect will make for adults that will not marry or even try to enter into any kind of relationship. There is child neglect that will cause very talented adults not to let their light shine and the world never know of their talent until the person dies alone in some shabby apartment or in a dark alley, under a box. World never got to know the next great painter, play writer or the person whom might have found the cure for AIDS, because they hid themselves away from the world. Child neglect is an evil that should have never been allowed out of the box. For the centuries of which child neglect has roamed the world, the long term effect has always been there somewhere between the lines of world history. There is so many long term effect of child neglect that no one article could ever show the full magnitude of such an evil.
