Winter wonderland, magical place of snow
Icy blasts of moisture, making cheeks aglow
Spy the summer swimming hole all iced over
Gone are the verdant, grassy fields of clover
Winter wonderland, magical place of ice
Button up tightly or pay the ultimate price
Frozen fingers and toes, noses turning red
Gone is the fragrant, flowering garden bed
Winter wonderland, magical place so cold
Pretty as a picture is what we’ve been told
Now sloshing through old snow’s dirty grime
I daydream of the blissfully hot, summertime

Poetry: Winter wonderland
The mock sun silently chuckles
In this frigid land of white,
My dog-team valiantly struggles
Pulling with all their
Ice cold winds and showers of rain
Fill the streets of every avenue and lane.
Fire burning inside the house
A cozy atmosphere
Winter Wonderland
Hard, brisk snow blows in with a frosty wind
carpeting the ground with plush white beauty.
Who can tell
by Carol Gioia
Landscape airbrushed pristine white,
not a living thing in sight.
Silence permeates the air,
purity glistens everywhere.
Icicles
Transformed into a paradise, a winter wonderland.
From the day before, when all was normal and so bland.
A winter storm
