What might be, depends on you and me
If we were to smile at the stranger with
Strife expressed in their face
What might be is a moment of warmth
From someone who really cared
You pick up a piece of trash thrown on the ground
What might be is a child watching you and a seed has
Been planted in their mind that the earth can be clean
There is a stranger with tears steaming down their face
And you reach out and give them a loving embrace,
What might be is a pause in sadness
And the stranger realizes they are not alone
A mentally challenged persons smiles from ear to ear
You reach out and shake their hand
What might be is an example to others that they are
People with feelings just like you and me
Just keep in mind of what might be when give out the positive
And eliminate the negative

If we were to smile at the stranger with
Strife expressed in their face
What might
