Help rescue me,
from the rough waves of the sea,
where I am lonely and stranded,
and my shouting is demanded.
Help rescue me,
from this deserted island,
where my soul is stranded,
and not bird has landed.
Help rescue me,
with a bit of hope,
and a strong rope,
to lead me home.
I'm tired of being alone.

Stranded alone,
among crowds of strangers,
that walk away and pass by me,
no one look and care but
Phoenix, mid-August
Newly broke, brand new in town:
Maybe I'll find work here,
Or at least look around.
