Eredan iTCG is an online collectible card game almost similar in mechanics and game play to popular tabletop card games like Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Magic: The Gathering. The game can be accessed on its official website or like most social games today, as a Facebook application.
As of the time of this writing, Eredan iTCG has achieved the following milestones: Close to 700,000 registered players (of which 1000 to 2000 are usually active daily), more than 5 and a half million games played, and 187,000+ "likes" on Facebook. For a game catered towards a specific niche of players, these statistics are definitely mind-blowing and speaks volumes as to how Eredan is steadily making a mark on the online card game community.
It's not at all surprising how many players have grown to like the game because for such a game which heavily relies on static images and complex card battle mechanics, Eredan's production values are definitely top-notch. One can see how much work and effort has been put into creating high-quality card graphics, balancing game play algorithm, maintaining the site itself, and updating the game's news and events.
Gameplay-wise, Eredan iTCG is no different from the card battle games most people have played before. A veteran TCG player, for example, will have no difficulty adjusting to Eredan's simple rules. Card game newbies though might need to brush up on the core mechanics which are discussed in the tutorial and for additional information, peruse the wiki guide provided.
Players have a card collection wherein they must pick three different characters and 20 other cards like items, actions, and the like as the chosen characters' means of attack, defense, and support. There's nothing really innovative about Eredan's game play at first glance, but as a player gains more insight about the different aspects of the game, he'll see that Eredan at its very core is a deeply-involving and intricate game. There are more to these cards than figuring out which character's attack or defense is superior.
One has to take into consideration that assassins, warriors, nature sprites, magic-wielders, and pirates have specific strategies for them to win battles. Knowing that different players have varying play styles and factoring in the multiple guilds, races, character castes, item and action types, spells, and theurgies, Eredan will certainly take a long time to master.
It's also great that the Eredan iTCG game updates are frequent and jam-packed. Each week, new cards are released and certain events are also opened which allows a player to earn trophies, cards and crystals (in-game currency). Booster packs, pre-made decks, and bonus trophies are also available but this requires the player shell out real money to buy the premium currency called Feez.
As far as online card games go, Eredan iTCG definitely gets a perfect 10 out of 10.
