Believers  who are truly born again for eternity with Christ Jesus, have been cleansed by the blood of the lamb of God which was shed at the cross of Calvary. The believers are "an holy priesthood,", a royal priesthood and more than "conqueror". The christian now in a priesthood, has access to God with the task to bring others to Him.

In the old testament, only the  priest was privileged to  approach God. The priests and the high priests alone could enter the Holy of Holies. But through Jesus Christ, every born-again christian has access to God almighty; it has become the privilege of all that believe. Now he that knows Christ as Lord and saviour and brings others to the saviour's feet has the privilege to approach God with boldness.

As a serious christian, you are a priest unto God, you must therefore bring spiritual sacrifices to your God, make yourself an offering to God, "a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is his reasonable service" [Romans 12;1-2] His will [born-again] is offered to God for henceforth,the will of God must overrule his own . This true believer offers his work and labour of love to his maker, "doing good unto all men especially unto them who are of the household of faith for with such sacrifices, God is  pleased ", [Galatians 6;10]. He offers his sacrifice of praise continually Heb 13;15.

The other characteristics of our priesthood are a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, etc. Though these great privileges were first handed over to the children of Israel, they are nevertheless fulfilled in the church today.

The christian is chosen for fellowship, obedience to God's words, worship and services. We are chosen to be set apart, holy and different in every respect, chosen to be different in every corner we may be found with other men and women in a decaying society. What moves others, may not move him or her, [the christian. he or she is dedicated  to Cod's will for he is part of God's peculiar people.]

Called out of darkness to walk in the light, the Christian is now to show forth the praises of God in his or her lifestyle, former things are passed away, all things become new. If ye then being risen with christ, seek those things which are above, where christ sitteth  on the right hand side of God .
