Shh, it’s so quiet, here inside my globe.
I sit by a plastic fire, perpetually in my robe.
I like it here, this globe, my place.
Time seems frozen in a snowy space.
I watch the world go by outside.
But here is where my time I bide.
(So simple of a life is led,
When your only neighbor is a sled.)
But I don’t desire much you see,
I’m happy just to sit and be.
The rush I see outside my dome,
Is not as peaceful as my home.
For I can sit and watch the snow,
No one to please, nowhere to go.
I wish that you could join me here,
Without a care, without a fear.
We’ll sit and watch the world go by,
Take a load off, breathe a sigh.
Listen to the barest sound,
Of snowflakes as they hit the ground.
Such beauty in the simple things,
The peace and calm a pause can be.
I AM the moment you have at hand,
Here in my Winter Wonderland.

A blank stare, a faint smile, sometimes.
She lives in a glass house, a snow
I live in a snow globe and watch outside from within,
I'm unmoving, unspeaking and unable to spin.

A rustic cottage hideaway
Surrounded by tall evergreens.
Aquatic snowflakes slowly drift
And sparkle on
