Winter has arrived, the snow is falling, and it suddenly comes to your mind that your iPhones and iPods could take damage during such weather. Moisture, low temperatures, dirt and other factors can severely damage the condition of your iPod. If you haven't thought of getting accessories to protect your iPod, now is definitely the time to avoid costly repairs which may affect many years in the future. Here are some of the many essential gadgets which can be used to protect your Apple product:

1. Car chargers

Car chargers are especially important when you're sipping your hot coffee and busy listening to music in your car while stuck in a traffic jam, until your iPhone shuts down. Be careful to make sure that your iPhone's battery does not run out - this problem can easily be solved by buying a car charger. You will no longer have to worry about sudden traffic, and you can keep accepting calls and navigating your way through the GPS too!

2. Cover Cases

Cover cases not only protect your iPod and iPhone from scratches, but also from impact. Luckily to this date, I have only dropped my iPod on my bed before, however, on the other hand, my friend has accidentally danced on his iPhone before, causing the rear to break. Expensive repairs can be avoided and your delicate phone secured by simply purchasing and attaching a cover case. Aesthetics also plays a factor - choose a case which fits your style.

3. Screen Protectors

Screen detectors have many different features - they can also be used for aesthetics as well as protection. Not only do they protect your screen from moisture, dirt and scratches, some types of protectors change into a mirror when on standby, while others give you no-glare viewing of your screen at any part of the day. Different screen protectors also have different textures as well - some are more 'slippery' than others.

4. Earphones

Thankfully, the iPod and iPhone products are compatible with most varieties of earphones - a reason why it is essential to get your pair which suits your need. Of course, the Apple ones are definitely useful, but out in the market nowadays, there are many different versions of earphones which allow you to adjust volume and track from the earphone cord. Make sure that the earphones fit your ears as well; I've seen my iPod hang centimetres from the floor with my ears taking the strain of a few hundred dollars of technology.

For your iPod or iPhone, winter is definitely different to summer. The conditions and weather change, along with the danger and damage risk of your iPod or iPhone. However, risk can be minimised with many of the accessories we can use today.
