Making New year's resolutions are common and easy to make. Keeping your New year's however, is a totally different ballgame.   Striving to keep the following 10 New year's resolutions, are critical for your free lance career success.

1)  Set up a weekly work schedule and stick to it.  Plan to write at least 100 articles per year.  Plan to write one major quality non-fiction book, and 2 quality E-Books per year.

 2)  Strictly enforce your time management schedule and become better organized. Your daily goal should be to write at least two articles per day.

3)  Learn to write quality article's, non-fiction book, and E-Books for your own satisfaction. Well written content will find it self, readers by word of mouth.  Also, it helps to market those content articles through your distribution partners such as Digg, Del.icio.us, and Stumble Upon.

4)  Spell check is your friend. Utilize your grammar skills and improve them as needed. Cut down on the use of cliché's and jargon in your article content.  Proof read your articles. Read your article out load after you proof read them.  As a writer you want to control the material in your articles.  You also want to frame your article by the use of tenses.

  5)  Remember that your readers not only visualize the words in your article content, but readers will listen to your words in their own mind.  As a writer you want to find an angle within the niche topic that you have chosen to write about.  Ask your self, "What is the point of this article?"   Writing is an evolving process.  Your article no matter how well written it is; will not be the final word on the topic of your article.

 6)  Not only should you submit your articles to your on-line distribution partners, you should also take advantage of posting your articles on sites such as www. Face Book.com,www.Linked In.com, and www.Twitter.com.  Social media is a form of word of mouth advertising.

  7)  Develop a well planned and thought out, on-line branding strategy for yourself.  Your on-line branding strategy should be across the distribution partners and social media for your business as well.

8)  Plan an analysis and review of your content marketing plan at least quarterly to ensure that your are on track to meet your annual goals.

 9)  Remember to enjoy and have fun.  A freelance career provides you both the freedom and the responsibility to ensure that you complete your goals.

 10)  Strive to leave your readers with at least one provocative thought in your content articles, books, and E-Book's.  All readers love to receive their relevant information in a narrative format.

One of the key's to your achieving and keeping your New Year's resolutions as a Free Lancer is to make  measurable resolution's.  You want to write those resolutions down and publicly announce your resolution to your partner's, spouse, friends and family.  It is easier to keep your resolution with the help of your support group.
