Torture

I see you.

For this moment,

you are mine.

And we are lost

Within the seas of our green eyes.

Yours are endless,

I drown and I care not.

For somewhere-

In there and your smiles,

Breath fills me.

I have never breathed like that….

I hear you…

Our few moments together to talk.

Your voice, it is such a treasure to me.

Like the first sound a deaf man hears

Would be his delight-

So is your voice to me.

I crave it.

I taste you.

A kiss that plunges me

from this world to somewhere yet to be discovered.

Do not let me fall back here.

I want to breathe The air that exists there-

Only in that place where we kiss.

I touch you.

Solid beneath my hands.

Warm, welcoming,

Embracing me as well.

I sigh…closing my eyes.

I have waited so long for this…

Then you evaporate…

A dream from which I awaken,

You are no longer in my arms.

I cannot taste you,

hear you,

see you,

You disappear 

back into another world.

I am left breathless,

cold, longing.

My ears search for sounds of you. 

My eyes for any glimpse.

Longing and hunger.

Desire and need.

Waiting….

 waiting. 

This is my torture.
