They glorify the wicked fluff
They think it magical and dreamy
But I despise the cold, wet, stuff
Just give me tropical and steamy
I do not want a Christmas White
That is no special treat to me
It turns into a slushy fright
That coats the drive and breaks the trees
I much prefer a paradise
A blissful isle of greens and blues
Where multicolored parrots nest
And coconuts grow in the trees
A Winter Wonderland to me
Is far from ice and sleet and snow
It rests in Sun and Sea and Surf
Sand angels can suffice you know!
So take your sleigh rides, skates, and sleds,
I’ll take my Jet Ski, surf board, and hammock
And while you’re caged up in the house
I’ll don my snorkel and take a plummet.

Poetry: Winter wonderland
The mock sun silently chuckles
In this frigid land of white,
My dog-team valiantly struggles
Pulling with all their
Ice cold winds and showers of rain
Fill the streets of every avenue and lane.
Fire burning inside the house
A cozy atmosphere
Winter Wonderland
Hard, brisk snow blows in with a frosty wind
carpeting the ground with plush white beauty.
Who can tell
by Carol Gioia
Landscape airbrushed pristine white,
not a living thing in sight.
Silence permeates the air,
purity glistens everywhere.
Icicles
Transformed into a paradise, a winter wonderland.
From the day before, when all was normal and so bland.
A winter storm
