I tried to talk to you but you wouldn't listen
It was always about what you were missing
Never taking into account how I was feeling
You were always yelling and screaming
How could you possibly understand what's going on in my head?
When all you care about is what's going on with everyone else instead

It's only a matter of time before love turns into hate
In a place where much love was there to embrace

Only hate lives there now, in that cold empty space
I always knew you didn't care
Now you look at me with a bewildered stare

I have been patient with you for far too long
In the meanwhile I have written this song
Hoping and praying you would come around
Instead you decide to be all over town
You say our house is not a home
You don't care anymore and I feel so alone

You make me feel like it's all my fault
I take your hurtful words with a grain of salt
You always knew I wasn't perfect
I showed you my love but did you really deserve it?
Comprehension and understanding was all I asked
Which you made out to be a task

I did not know that loving someone would be so hard
I guess that's why heart is always at guard
You never know what can happen in life
Much sorrow, struggle and strife
Your words and actions cut through me like a knife
Wish you would listen to me I am still your wife!

While you are out I am writing this song
Maybe you will stop and read along
And think of ways to approach the situation
Without holding out or reservation
Don't want to hate you because I love you
But don't want to continue being your fool
