Poetry: Inside a snowglobe

by Scott Scherr

Created on: January 03, 2011

Little Winter World

A rustic cottage hideaway
Surrounded by tall evergreens.
Aquatic snowflakes slowly drift
And sparkle on a tranquil scene.

A snowman's crooked smile remains
Above a child's red sled glued in,
Beneath a painted reindeer night
Where little stars have always been.

A touch of magic held in glass,
With just one shake it comes alive.
I stare into this little world
Where winter dreams of childhood hide.
