Life's little annoyances

by Vicki Phipps

Created on: January 02, 2011

Life’s little annoyances can create huge social issues, because you see, the feeling indicates a lack of serenity. With no peace of mind, you’ll be annoyed most of the time, which is a sign that you just might be a control freak. You can’t let go of control, because you believe heaven, earth and the universe should and could revolve around you, your needs, your wishes and your dreams, not to mention your philosophy of life. That’s why it’s important to remember this list of tips:

* What you resist will persist until you get a grip and get over it.

There’s no better example of what life’s little annoyances can do to you, than to consider what annoys you politically. For example, if you happen to be the only democrat living in the Lone Star State among a bunch of conservative republicans, you probably feel as if you are lost and alone in the Twilight Zone, a time in an age where nothing makes any sense. Due to that fact, everything you think, say or do will annoy everyone you live among, and everything they say and do will annoy you. That’s when the whole world seems to be mean and rude.

The more you’re annoyed by what people say or do, the more they will say or do whatever it is that annoys you, and vice versa. Believe me, it’s true and for me personally, what Sarah Palin says and the way she says it is the proof.

She’s everywhere and although I’ve never met her in my life, every time I hear someone say the phrase, "You betcha," I lose my mind. The problem with this little annoyance is the fact that people say that phrase every single day in the Lone Star State.

Then again, they get just as annoyed when I say, "Hey it was hope and faith that made the USA great," but they go insane when they hear the chant, "YES WE CAN." Even so and although I try to agree with all their complaints, it annoys me when they try to watch FOX news in MY living room. Then again, it annoys them when I remind them that I have the right to own the remote control in my own home, so I suppose it’s all about control.

In fact, when it comes to what annoys me about free speech, I could go on and on with an endless list of political annoying tips, but I think you get my drift. It makes no sense to be annoyed politically. Sometimes a democrat wins and sometimes a republican steps in, but in the end, we are all Americans, so let’s try to get a grip and get over it before our little annoyances disgrace and publically
