Tree branches used in wedding décor accommodate multiple themes and styles as well as offering a budget friendly way to stretch your decoration budget. Most branch projects will contribute to the impact of decorations as well by offering a larger décor element. Bare branches in a tall vase with a touch of silver glitter are easy to create. This simple arrangement is well suited for a winter wedding or a fairy tale theme. Take the design a step further by hanging snowflakes, icicles, or lights from the branches. Cover the tall vases with shimmering wraps tied near the top or fill glass vases with silver beads to complete the effect.
For a spring wedding use vases filled with flowering tree branches. If flowering branches are not available in the quantity you need then use a bare branch with silk or fresh flowers wired to the branches. Simple clay flower pots are available at garden stores in a high narrow style to use as containers for these arrangements or fill a glass vase with Easter grass in festive colors.
Palm tree branches in containers or attached to walls will work well for a summer or beach theme wedding. Continue the theme by covering the vases with a sand finish spray paint or fill glass vases with shells or fruit to hold the branches. Palm branches are also visually pleasing with one branch set in a low container anchored by Styrofoam that has been covered with sand. Scatter shells at the base of these arrangements to continue the theme.
Fall weddings should feature branch arrangements adorned with colorful leaves. Because fall leaves can be difficult to capture live you can use silk leaves attached to bare branches along with fall colored mums and sunflowers. Fill glass containers with sunflower seeds in the shell, other nuts, or smooth river stones.
In addition to the seasonal natural elements from tree branches you can incorporate them in less obvious ways. Hang festive banners or family heirloom quilts from tree branches on the walls of the church or reception venue. Family crest banners on stone walls will give a medieval feel while handmade quilts are a cozy backdrop for country style down-home weddings.
