Alternative treatments for hyperactivity in children

Today more and more children are suffering from what is called hyperactivity.Although this has been a problem for generations it has never reached the extent that it seems to have today.

Hyperactivity is something that may be overcome by making a few changes to a child's everyday routine.

Hyperactivity in children can be a result of certain foods and drinks that children are eating today. There are more additives in what children eat and drink than ever before.

In  the 1960's, most of the food that was eaten was fresh produce,  parents tended only to buy food as they needed it and children in those days would normally just have three meals a day.

In those days breakfast  would normally consist of  porridge with fresh milk, a boiled egg with bread or fresh fruit.

Children today are starting their days eating things like, chocolate spread on toast, cereals frosted with sugar, toasting filled with all sorts of sugary substances which are full of additives and contribute to  hyperactivity in children. So from the start of the day a lot of children have very high sugar levels.

For lunch If the child is of school age there may be a chance of some healthy food on the menu, but againsome children these days are brought up on fast foods and this is what they are used to. A lot of schools today due to this, their menu will provide, fries, burgers, and many other fast food produce.Where is the nutrition in these types of foods?

Therefore half way through the day children are eating more food which is filled with additives, not forgetting fizzy sweet drinks which are so popular with the young generation. These drinks are full of caffeine making children even more hypoactive.

In the 1960 children would have wholesome school lunches with things such as boiled potatoes, fresh vegetable, fresh meats of different kinds, deserts of custard and fruit crumbles,and rice pudding. These types of foods were a lot healthier and had less additives and  children enjoyed these types of foods.

Children leave school in  the afternoon and a lot of children will go to local shops for sweets , Potato chips, more fizzy drinks and food from fast food restaurants, even before having dinner in the evening. With some dinners consisting of processed foods. Is it any wonder that the
