Being a stay at home mom can be a very rewarding job in itself, but unfortunately, it does not pay the bills.  As the economy fluctuates rapidly, some families that were previously able to make it financially on a sole income may find that the dollars just aren’t stretching as far as they used to.  The easy answer to this may be for mom to go back to work, but, with astronomical day care and preschool costs, that may not be a feasible solution either.  Luckily however, there are many jobs out there that stay at home moms can do while still being able to take care of their responsibilities as a wife and mother.  Here are some of the perfect jobs for stay at home moms.

Writing sites

There are many different websites on the internet that will pay its members just for writing on the site.  These sites usually pay its contributors in a variety of different ways, including through upfront payments and/or residual earnings as well.  This means that for every article, review, etc. that is contributed, it is possible to earn a few dollars just for writing it, followed by a few pennies for each time someone clicks on the article.

With so many sites, it may be difficult to determine which one is the best, but a few of the top rated websites include Helium, Associated Content, Review Stream, Hubpages, and Squidoo.

As a stay at home mom looking to earn money writing to these sites, it is best to be optimistic when beginning because chances are, income will only increase by pennies, but, after a few months and a growing portfolio, those pennies will eventually turn into dollars, and from there the earning potential is endless. 

Blogging

Blogging is another way for stay at home moms to earn extra income.  Websites like Blogger and Wordpress offers its members free web hosting as well as the opportunity to receive income from Adsense and Amazon. 

Moms who chose to write a blog for profit can literally write about anything that they choose as often as they like.  One of the most important things to remember however, at least in the beginning is to promote the blog because that is what will begin the earnings flow. 

This job is another in which the income will come in slowly, but, just as writing articles for writing sites, after a few months, and dedication, the blog can begin to earn substantial income as well
