Many busy moms have more to do than there are hours in the day. They may want to save time any and every way possible. The following tips can help you make the most of your time.

Multitask

If you do not have enough time to give everything individual attention, then try to do several things at once. Of course you do not want to drive yourself crazy fitting in more than you can handle, but many tasks fit perfectly well together. For instance, if you want to exercise and do some reading for work, then you can hop on an exercise bike and read at the same time. You may be able to make some important phone calls by putting the phone on speaker while you are doing laundry or other household chores. You can spend quality time with your child while cooking a special family meal together. You will find that you have more time if you can get two things does at once.

Avoid distractions

You want to get through your tasks as efficiently as possible. Many mothers have difficulty if they are constantly interrupted. For instance, if you're trying to do some work for your job but have to constantly stop to answer the phone, check your e-mail, go to the door, etc., then it may take you far longer. When you stop doing something you may not be able to go right back to where you were. It may take some time just to get started and focused again.

Keep your home organized, neat and clean

If the home is unorganized then you may waste time looking for things. It can be difficult when you are a mother because you are probably not the one who is destroying the house. It is important to teach your children to pick up after themselves. When things are a mess everything may take longer. Besides needing to look for things you may need to spend time replacing items that you have lost.

Garner help

Your children may seem to take all of your time, but they can give it too. Wisely choose their chores so that they can both learn responsibility and truly help you keep a great home.

Busy moms want to stretch what little time they have as far as it goes. The above tips may help you maximize your accomplishments in the time you have.
