Poetry: Life or death

by Cathy Wilson

Created on: December 30, 2010

It is a choice to live or die.

Some have it once, others many times.

Do you want to take another breath

or give in to the pain.

It hurts so badly anything is better than the agony.

Terrified of what lay ahead, more so of letting go.

To face a wrong or run away.

To make things right or just let go.

Do you want to watch loved ones suffer with worry

or let them grieve and live again.

To choose to take that one last breath

Or decide to live again.
