Often goes unnoticed, unrewarded, unseen.
Invisible if you will.
To take that first step,
or that jump off the high diving board.
To face your father after telling that first fib,
or stay overnight at a friends for the first time.
To hop on the bus your first day of school,
or ask your boss for a raise.
To finally stand up to that bully,
or decide to join the army.
To show up for class after an embarrassing incident,
or choosing to fight for your life when doctors have given up.
All equally courageous.
