Gmail is one of the most popular, totally free and ad-supported webmail services. It was launched in 2004. It is immensely popular among general users for user-friendly lay-out, ever-growing storage space and easy file transfer method.Sometimes, we want to share news (official, personal, recreational) with a group of people but we really don’t want to reveal their identity to each other. So, the “Undisclosed Address List” method is the perfect solution to solve this particular problem. To setup an undisclosed address list in Gmail we need to follow three simple steps.

1. First, we need to setup an address list. To do that in Gmail, we need to login to Gmail account<go to homepage<click on the contact button from top left side of the screen<either add all the contacts manually or select the specific one’s you want to add in that list by clicking on the square box on the left side of each address<click on groups button<name the group.

2. Click on compose mail. Now there are two ways to make an address list undisclosed. Firstly leave the “To” box totally empty or write your own Gmail address in the “To” box. Then click on “Bcc” button from the bottom line of “To” box. Again, click on “Bcc” button on the left side just under “To” button. Now a pop-up window will appear, there will be a drop-down menu starting with “My Contact”. Use that drop-down menu and select the specific group you want to be undisclosed. After that, you can select from that specific address list , if you want to send that email to all then hit the “All” button. Now go down and select the “Done” button. You are all set to send that email.

3. Please test this procedure using two of your own email addresses or close friend’s address. Follow the above procedure, and send an email to yourself. Please check that sent email into another one of your email account, read it and try to find out that is it possible for you to see all the recipient email addresses. At last, try to reply to that email, if you can see only the sender’s address that means you have successfully set up the undisclosed address list in your Gmail account.

It is very important that, you first test this procedure before you apply and send an email to a specific address list. In this way you can be sure that, your undisclosed address list is working properly and your recipients cannot see each other’s email address in any possible way. Hope this helps you to set-up an undisclosed address list in your Gmail account.

Many thanks for reading, it is sincerely appreciated.
