When we are young
and believe in dreams
They'll fill our heads
with fancy things
Tho' meaning not
to lead astray
their cherished
earthen angels
I tell you this,
and remember long
The lark who sings
her marvelous song
Warns the young
and blessed ones
Tho' cursed is she
with soothing tunes
For when the blush
is all but gone,
Beware of lovers and love none.
