Though it would be more pleasant for one to take a more optimistic approach and claim that Agnosticism is the more logical choice, logic isn't about being optimistic, it's usually about quite the opposite, actually. Two things should be better understood if one hopes to comprehend a more logical point of view involving Atheism and Agnosticism, these two things are; the actual difference between Atheism and Agnosticism, and why Atheism is a more logical point of view to maintain.

Agnosticism and Atheism agree on the main key point that defines the two schools of thought, such as the inability to prove the existence of God, but the main difference arises from the Agnostic views which may vary from belief in an unprovable God, to a noncommittal "what if" point of view on the situation, but furthermore some sects dispute the relevance of God stating they don't believe time should be expended trying to prove or even worrying about the existence of God, where as an atheist is devoid of all belief in any sort of deity, all powerful or otherwise. While Agnostics can honestly argue that Jesus Christ was the son of God, an Atheist would not be able to make this argument non hypocritically without compromising their belief, or lack their of in this case.

Atheism is the more logical point of view for several reasons, while both schools of thought acknowledge God as unprovable, an Agnostic can still worship and pray to God without compromising personal beliefs, Scientifically however it has been concluded that the concept of a an all powerful deity is not plausible. This shows that by default Atheism is more logical because while it leaves no room for uncertainty, it is in fact scientifically plausible, unlike agnosticism. Agnosticism is a more appealing idea than Atheism because of how Agnosticism always leaves something of a security blanket manifested by its non committal nature, the person choosing the religion can profess his or her doubt while not having to commit entirely to one side or the other. Furthermore some sects of Agnosticism say that people shouldn't be concerned with God whatsoever, regardless of existence, this is an illogical point of view because if a God existed, he would likely be relevant to our existence. Therefore both sides of Agnosticism are more illogical than Atheism.

It would be nice to consider Agnosticism the more logical, reasonable choice, unfortunately however, it is not, and while Atheism does not leave that "what if" possibility open, it is feasible and based in fact and that alone makes it more logical.
