Married on a Monday? It sounds ridiculous, but you would be surprised how much it can help you. My daughter got married last summer, and the church was booked the weekend she wanted to get married. Rather than waiting, which didn't work with their future plans, they decided on a Monday. We thought we would lose a lot of people with such an odd time, but it actually worked better for people. Those who had to travel took an extra day after the weekend, and those who were in town appreciated us not tying up their weekend. The man who made the cake didn't have any other cakes to do that day, which gave him more time and less stress to focus on ours, and the flower shop was more available as well. Once the year passes, no one remembers what day of the week your date was on anyway, and it had many advantages for us.
