Howo do I keep moving
When I know what's up the road?
Knowing what's to come
When I finally release this load.
I've held it for too long now,
The weight keeps getting worse.
It's like trying to carry a ton of bricks
Inside of a handheld purse.
I see others struggle
And automatically try to help.
But how can I help somebody else
When I can't even help myself?
We carry them all differently
Though the load we carry's the same.
We choose to carry these loads.
So we have only us to blame.
So why carry mine any longer
When I know that God can help?
So I can finally do my job
And get my "black belt."
Though my punishment will be fierce,
God help me to endure.
And before I make this choice
God help me to be sure.
That when I make this choice,
I am making it for me.
Knowing that with this load
I can't live eternally.
I need your assistance God
From this point and now on.
Knowing that with you
My battle is already won.
