If you thought television from 2009 was cringeworthy, it was nothing in comparison to this years disasters. Television from 2010 has given us some of the most cringeworthy, and in some cases, infuriating, moments to be seen for a very long time. Let's take a look back at some of the worst televison moments from this year.
1. Robert Green at the Fifa World Cup.
As a whole nation we were willing England to gove us something to celebrate, and bring home the World Cup. However, what we were actually presented with was a pathetic attempt by a bunch of players who spent more time cheating on their other halves than focussing on the task in hand, bar a few players, of course. However, by far the worst moment was when goalie Robert Green missed a save that, let's be honest, a five year old could have made. I think it's safe to say that the whole of the country, as well as Green himslef were cringing for a very long time after this disaster.
2. Cheryl Cole's rant at Wagner on the Xfactor.
If you like reality televison, then you will have probably heard of the Xfactor. Every year Simon Cowell and his team give us some of the most cringeworthy televison moments to grace screens all around the country. There are always delusional people who think that they can sing, but actually can't. However, this year, it was something else that made the whole nation cringe. When contestant Wagner was caught out bitching about judge Cheryl Cole, she decided that she wasn't going to let it lie. However, rather than having a quiet word with the Brazilian contestant backstage, the Geordie judge took it upon herself to give the red faced contestant an ear bashing live on air. Usually, this would have been entertaining, but the way the whole thing went down only made us cringe.
3. Stevie Starr on Britain's Got Talent.
Stevie Starr..The Regurgitator. The title in itself should tell you everything that you need to know about the Glaswegian. However, none of us were prepared for his performance on Britain's Got Talent. He had us all reaching for the sick bucket, despite being highly entertaining. For those of you who don't know, his act consists of swallowing dangerous items such as nails, broken glass, light bulbs, and even a live goldfish, and then regurgitate them. Whilst this may have been an entertaining and amazing act, the majority of the nation found themselves gagging as well as cringing. Not surprisingly, he didn't win the slot on the Royal Variety Performance to perform in front
