Babies develop surprisingly fast, as any parent will tell you. During their first few months of life you will more than likely see some amazing changes. By the time your baby reaches the four month stage you can expect many exciting changes to appear. One thing that you will notice is that your baby may sleep more during the night, and appear more bright and bouncy in the mornings. This is not only good for them, but great news for you too, as it means that your baby will be more settled during the night.

Another change that you might notice is that your baby may be able to lift his or her arms up by themselves when they are placed on their tummy. This will gradually improve as your baby continues to grow. During the fourth month you will notice that your baby becomes more curious about the world around them. They will start to laugh and be aware of the things going on around them. Again, this is something that you can expect to develop even more as your baby develops further. You may find that your baby is amused by different things that you do, and they will also start to interact with you too.

During the fourth month your baby will be due a set of vaccinations. This is something that they will be much more aware of at this time, so be sure to prepare yourself for some screaming. Some babies are more developed than others when it comes to eating habits. At four months old, some are ready to start eating solids, whereas some are not ready until six months or later. This is something that should be discussed with your family doctor as they will be able to advise you on what is best for your child.

Another thing that you may notice at four months old is that your baby will not need to eat as often. The reason for this is because at this age they have a bigger stomach, which, of course, means that it does not need filling up as often. Another thing that you will notice at this age is that your baby is able to sit up on their own and hold their head level. This is great as it allows them to explore the things around them freely, and means that they are going to carry on developing at a good pace.
