Man’s best friend?
He’s “man’s best friend”
But I’ll go round the bend.
If I take any more.
He barked all night
And had a fight
With the cat next door.
He chewed his lead
And then he weed
On the kitchen floor.
Doesn’t come when I call
And jumped the wall
Into the pet store.
He chased a rabbit
(it’s becoming a habit)
And got thorns in his paw.
He got stuck in a hole
When we went for a stroll
What’s he looking for?
But then he licks my hand
And I understand
It’s not such a chore.
And at the end of the day,
Quiet together, I’d say
He’s my best friend for sure.
